BAYFL Cornhole Tournament + Football Equipment Pick-up

Join BAYFL for its first annual double elimination amateur cornhole tournament! This family friendly event will be held at Flight Deck Brewing on Sunday, August 18 from 3PM-7PM and will benefit the Brunswick Area Youth Football League’s football and cheering programs.

$40.00 non-refundable tournament entry fee per two-person team. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place teams!

Flight Deck Brewery will open to the public – children are welcome to attend! Food and beverages will be available for purchase onsite.

BAYFL’s Equipment Pick-up Day
Get your football player geared up for the season on Saturday, August 3 at the Topsham Fairground Field.

Grades 1 & 2: 9:00 to 10:00

Grades 3 & 4: 10:00 to 11:00

Grades 5 & 6: 11:00 to 12:00

Grades 7 & 8: 12:00 to 1:00

Equipment will NOT be handed out until you provide BAYFL with:

  • Sports Waiver – a signed doctor’s note confirming your athlete is physically okay to play football
  • Birth Certificate – if new to BAYFL, please provide a copy of your athlete’s birth certificate
  • Code of Ethics – we will have these forms available to sign on at pick-up

BAYFL Training Camps for Football and Cheering

Get ready for the season and a have whole lot of fun at our non-contact football or cheering camps — only $35!

July 22 – 25, 5 pm to 7 pm
BAYFL Field at the Topsham Fairgrounds

Football: Grades 1-6
Our Non-Contact Camp is a great opportunity for new players to learn key football skills and for returning players to focus on their fundamentals.

Cheering: Grades K-8
Designed for experts and rookies alike, our Cheering Camp is a great way to learn and work on perfecting the basics of cheering. Cheerleaders will perform for family and friends on the last day of camp.

We regret to announce that BAYFL Training Camp will not be available for football players in Grades 7 and 8. SMYFL’s league rules do not allow interaction between coaches and players throughout July. Anyone with a player in 7th or 8th grade who has registered and paid for training camp will be refunded.

In replacement of training camp, we are currently planning a conditioning program for our 7th and 8th grade players that will tentatively run August 1 – 4, from 5 to 7 PM. This will mark the beginning of the middle school football season. More details are to come soon.

Exciting League News!

BAYFL is pleased to announce new affiliations for our youth and middle school programs. Across the board, these leagues represent some of the strongest football organizations in Southern Maine. BAYFL’s inclusion in these leagues solidifies our footing as one of the premier football organizations in the state.

We are confident these affiliations will positively guide and support the future of football in Maine and are excited to be a part of it. We’re excited to compete against new teams as well as several we’ve played with for quite some time

Youth Football (Grades 1 – 6) 

BAYFL has joined the Maine Sportsmanship League (MSL). This league includes: Auburn, BAYFL, Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, Freeport, Gardiner, Greely, Portland, Scarborough, South Portland, Turner, Windham and Yarmouth.

Middle School Football (Grades 7 and 8) 

BAYFL has joined the Atlantic Division of the Southern Maine Youth Football League (SMYFL). This leagues is made up of 21 teams across Southern Maine, split in two divisions. The Atlantic Division, which BAYFL is joining, includes: Auburn, BAYFL, Bonny Eagle, Lewiston, Massabesic, Portland, Saco, Sanford, Scarborough, South Portland, and Windham.
